New Delhi. Iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan confirmed that he suffered a slight knee strain while filming the eighteenth edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The incident occurred when he lost his footing during a routine take.
Modified Opening Routine
In the following episode, the host broke from his usual habit of delivering the introductory monologue while standing at centre stage. Instead, he chose a chair and spoke to the audience from there, attributing the change to his recent injury.
Big B Assures the Crew
Pointing to his left knee, Bachchan reassured everyone that the issue was minor. He mentioned that although he would still rise to greet contestants, he preferred to remain seated for the opening segment because standing caused discomfort. The studio audience responded with warm wishes for a quick recovery.
KBC 18 Keeps Rolling
Despite the setback, the veteran presenter continued to fulfill his hosting duties, interacting with participants and keeping the show’s momentum intact. Viewers noted the departure from his signature standing introduction, a hallmark of the programme.
Upcoming Film Ventures
Beyond the quiz show, Bachchan remains active on the big screen. He is set to appear in Section 84, a courtroom thriller directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, sharing the frame with Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur, and Abhishek Banerjee. He is also slated to return as Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD – Part 2, alongside Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
