Dehradun: Social media personality Anurag Dobhal finds himself named in a police complaint after a local resident alleged that he was assaulted, threatened and robbed. The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at Nehru Colony police station based on a statement from Raj Singh Chauhan.

Law enforcement officials have opened a formal investigation and are currently cross‑checking the details provided in the grievance.

Altercation Said to Have Started During a Gathering

According to the FIR, Chauhan arrived at a location near a Nexa showroom beside Yellow Hills Café on the evening of 5 October to meet Dobhal and several acquaintances.

He claims that a verbal disagreement broke out around 8 p.m., which quickly turned into a physical confrontation.

Chauhan alleges that Dobhal attempted to choke him while other individuals present allegedly struck him with sticks and metal objects, and that a vehicle was even used in an attempt to run him over.

Mobile Phone and Gold Chain Reported Stolen

The complainant told investigators that he sustained injuries during the scuffle and that his mobile phone and a gold chain were taken from him. He managed to leave the scene after the incident.

These claims have not yet been independently verified; investigators are gathering evidence to ascertain the facts.

Continued Threats After the Incident

Chauhan further asserts that the harassment did not stop at the venue. He says he received threatening phone calls and Instagram messages aimed at both him and his family members.

The FIR lists Dobhal alongside Abhay Chaudhary, Tapan Pandit, Abhishek Tiger, Abhinav Srivastava and Guru Bhai, among others.

Nehru Colony police recorded the case under Sections 117(2), 191(2) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) as per Chauhan’s allegations.
