Apprehension of a Suspected Predator

Law enforcement officers in Faridabad have placed a 40‑year‑old male under custody after linking him to two separate incidents where solitary senior women were allegedly coaxed under the guise of a complimentary ride.

Chronology of the Alleged Attacks

The complaints emerged from the Bhupani police‑station jurisdiction on September 18 and September 19. In each case, the victims recounted that a motorcyclist approached them, offered a safe journey, and subsequently diverted the vehicle toward an isolated stretch of road.

One woman narrated that the suspect made the proposition even while her spouse was present, insisting he would drop her at her doorstep before steering toward a deserted spot where the assault took place.

Investigative Measures

Initial attempts to trace the perpetrator through nearby CCTV footage proved inconclusive. Detectives therefore mobilised their local intelligence network, canvassed the neighbourhood and consulted informants to reconstruct a pattern of activity.

After roughly ten to fifteen days of intensive field work, an informant supplied a tip that enabled officers to locate the suspect. He was subsequently arrested and taken for questioning.

Interrogation and Continuing Probe

During the interview, the accused is reported to have acknowledged involvement in the two alleged assaults. Investigators are now scrutinising his background to ascertain any links to additional crimes of a similar nature in the area.

The case highlights the urgent need for citizens to report unsolicited transport offers, especially to vulnerable individuals, and underscores the police’s reliance on community intelligence to resolve such offenses.

Judicial proceedings have been set in motion, and authorities will continue to collect forensic and testimonial evidence to substantiate the allegations and explore any further connections to the suspect.
