Dehradun – Prominent YouTuber and ex‑Bigg Boss participant Anurag Dobhal, widely recognized as UK07 Rider, was placed under arrest by Dehradun police after a grievance was lodged accusing him of physical assault, unlawful confinement, intimidation and theft against Raj Singh Chauhan, a relative of his wife.

Why Did the Police Intervene?

The matter came to light when Chauhan approached the Nehru Colony police station and submitted a formal complaint detailing a series of alleged violent incidents. Authorities swiftly registered a case and launched a detailed inquiry.

Key Allegations in the Complaint

Chauhan’s statement claims that the clash unfolded on 5 October near a café on Haridwar Bypass Road, where he had gone to meet Dobhal and his team. According to him, the encounter quickly turned hostile. The specific charges include:

  • Being physically assaulted and allegedly choked by Dobhal.
  • Attacks by several of Dobhal’s associates resulting in bodily injuries.
  • An attempted vehicle‑ramming.
  • Stealing his mobile phone and a gold chain.
  • Subsequent threats delivered through phone calls and social‑media messages.

All these points have been incorporated into the ongoing police investigation.

Four Persons Detained by Police

Officers received information about a scuffle near Haridwar Bypass Road on the night of 5 October. When they arrived, they found Dobhal and his companions engaged in a dispute with Chauhan. Both sides were escorted to a nearby police outpost to prevent further escalation. The altercation reportedly continued at the outpost, prompting senior officers to step in.

In the end, four individuals were taken into custody: Anurag Dobhal and three associates identified as Abhishek, Abhay Chaudhary and Kurbaan. Chauhan was transported to Doon Hospital for medical assessment after sustaining injuries.

FIR Filing and Family Background

The Nehru Colony police lodged a First Information Report (FIR) based on Chauhan’s complaint, naming Dobhal and the three others. Investigators are reconstructing the timeline of events to ascertain each person’s involvement.

The case also brings to light a reported family dispute involving Dobhal and his wife, Ritika. Raj Singh Chauhan is said to be related to Ritika, although police have not verified any direct link between the family feud and the alleged assault.

Dobhal’s Response

Anurag Dobhal has publicly refuted the accusations, insisting that he and his group were the victims of an unprovoked attack. He claims his side contacted the police immediately after the incident and that he will present his version of events during the investigation.

The probe remains active. All allegations are subject to verification, and the final verdict will depend on the evidence gathered throughout the legal process.
