Readying for the National Forum

At her residence in Yamuna Colony, Dehradun, Uttarakhand’s Minister for Women Empowerment and Child Development, Rekha Arya, convened senior officials to polish the state’s showcase for the two‑day national departmental conference slated for 8–9 October in the capital.

Core Areas to Be Highlighted

The programme will put the spotlight on Uttarakhand’s hallmark initiatives covering women’s safety, empowerment, nutrition, Anganwadi outreach and child protection. Participants were asked to weave a persuasive storyline that reflects the state’s strides and pioneering solutions.

Insights from Fellow States

Arya underscored that the event offers a valuable platform to glean successful practices from other regions. By analysing models that have worked elsewhere, Uttarakhand intends to refine the execution of its own welfare schemes.

Minister’s Perspective and Central Guidance

Calling the occasion a source of pride, the minister noted that the summit will culminate with Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharing his outlook. Arya believes his remarks could shape the next phase of women’s and children’s welfare policies nationwide.

The coordination session saw Secretary Chandresh Kumar Yadav, Additional Secretary Karmendra Singh, Director Banshilal Rana and several senior department officers, who examined the presentation blueprint and logistical arrangements in detail.
