A Spellbound Bride Enters a Traditional Home
Yami Gautam is poised for a striking comeback with the upcoming film Naai Naveli. The newly unveiled trailer fuses intrigue, slapstick humor, fantastical elements and bursts of adrenaline‑pumping action, setting a tone that diverges dramatically from her previous projects.
The teaser opens on a classic Mumbai wedding ceremony, after which the fresh bride steps into her husband’s household. Initially greeted like any ordinary daughter‑in‑law, the atmosphere shifts when a family member declares that the newcomer is not human but a witch.
Although the claim is dismissed at first, the trailer drops a series of uncanny moments—mysterious powers, cryptic motives, and fleeting references to mythic figures like Ravana—interlaced with rapid‑fire action cuts. The blend of familial banter and eerie hints leaves audiences eager to uncover the truth behind the enigmatic Mohini.
Yami Gautam Embodies Mohini
In the film, Gautam portrays Mohini, a figure whose arrival upends the routine of a middle‑class Meerut family. Her presence injects both comedy and tension, forcing the household to confront the unknown. Compared with her earlier roles, Mohini offers a layered, off‑beat personality that allows Gautam to showcase a broader emotional palette.
