New Delhi – The Delhi police have taken a 32‑year‑old male into custody over a rape allegation lodged by a 43‑year‑old woman from the Keshav Puram locality. The accused has been named as Vikas, who resides in Tri Nagar.

Alleged Deception Involving an Eye Examination

The victim claims that Vikas invited her to his home under the pretense of conducting an eye‑check. Once inside the residence, she says she was rendered unconscious and subsequently subjected to sexual assault.

FIR Filed Following the Complaint

Acting on the woman's statement, officers at Keshav Puram police station registered an FIR under the applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code and launched a formal investigation. The suspect was apprehended shortly thereafter.

Ongoing Investigation

Detectives are currently gathering forensic evidence and interviewing witnesses to reconstruct the sequence of events. Further legal action will be determined based on the outcome of the inquiry.
