During a solemn shradh ceremony in Masoomganj village, Asarganj police uncovered a brazen robbery that left families stunned. The thieves took advantage of the gathering, making off with fourteen mobile phones and a motorcycle. Prompt investigative work has now resulted in two arrests and the recovery of the stolen items.

Local lead points to a resident suspect

After the complaint was lodged, officers from the Asarganj police station opened a case and began sifting through surveillance footage and forensic clues. Their analysis zeroed in on Roshan Kumar, a Masoomganj resident. During interrogation, Roshan reportedly admitted his role, leading authorities to seize the fourteen phones and the motorcycle hidden nearby.

Second arrest follows raid in Chhoti Korian

Further intelligence directed police to the nearby hamlet of Chhoti Korian, where a focused raid was carried out. The operation resulted in the detention of Sonu Kumar, the son of local figure Pappu Yadav. Sonu is now in custody while investigators continue to piece together the full chain of events.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar said that questioning of both suspects is ongoing, with a focus on determining where the stolen gadgets and bike were intended to be sold.
