CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Marks Birthday with Visually Impaired Students, Spreads Joy

Dehradun. On his birthday Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a heartfelt visit to the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD). He joined the institute’s children for a cake‑cutting ceremony and spent quality time with them in a warm, affectionate setting.

The youngsters beamed with excitement at the presence of the state’s leader. Dhami engaged them in conversation, offered encouragement, and wished each child a future brimming with possibilities. The institute buzzed with camaraderie, love, and a shared sense of purpose.

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister highlighted that every child harbors unique talent and boundless potential. He stressed that nurturing these abilities requires the right opportunities, steadfast encouragement, and confidence‑building support. Dhami reminded everyone that empowering persons with disabilities is not solely a governmental duty but a collective responsibility of society.

He urged the students to chase their ambitions with self‑belief, determination, and consistent effort, emphasizing that equal opportunities, dignity, and an inclusive environment belong to all citizens.

Speaking about the personal impact of the encounter, Dhami said that interacting with the children revitalizes him, providing fresh energy and inspiration. He described their affection and the joy lighting up their faces as the most special and memorable gifts of his birthday.

Accompanying the chief minister were his wife, Smt. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, and several teachers from the institute.
