Body Found in Neemka’s Fields
In the pre‑dawn hours of Monday, Yogendra – known locally as Lucky – walked to his father Bhole Shankar’s farmland carrying a cup of tea. Instead of seeing his father, he discovered the farmer’s lifeless form lying in the soil. Shocked, Yogendra immediately notified the authorities.
Police units arrived within minutes, cordoned off the area and handed it over to forensic specialists who began a systematic evidence collection. The incident was promptly logged as a homicide, with investigators zeroing in on the long‑standing land rivalry between the two brothers.
Surveillance Video Narrows the Suspect
Three separate investigative teams were mobilised to probe the killing. Their first step was to examine footage from cameras positioned around the agricultural plot. The recordings show a figure approaching the field shortly before the fatal moment, and the individual bears a strong likeness to Devendra, the victim’s younger brother.
Detectives brought Devendra in for questioning, cross‑checking his statements against the video and the forensic results. The convergence of these pieces of evidence led officers to conclude that he was likely involved, and he was taken into custody late that night.
Murder Weapon Recovered
Investigators also seized a spade from the site, which is believed to be the tool used in the assault. The recovered implement now serves as a key piece of evidence as the case moves through the judicial process.
Authorities continue to reconstruct the chain of events that ended in the farmer’s death. Devendra will be presented before the appropriate court, and the probe remains open to uncover any further motives or accomplices.
