Gurugram – A milk vendor was allegedly attacked with a knife and robbed of ₹12,000 near the Sector‑7 market on Monday night. The victim, identified as Narendra Bhadana of New Colony, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby government hospital for treatment. After recording his statement, New Colony police apprehended a suspect later that same night.

Victim was Returning After Completing His Work

Bhadana, who supplies milk to households and shops in the Sector‑7 area, had finished his daily deliveries and cash collections before heading home. He was carrying the day’s earnings – about ₹12,000 – when he reached a secluded stretch of road.

According to police, a young man stopped his vehicle and suddenly drew a knife. The assailant struck Bhadana in the chest and abdomen, leaving him gravely wounded. Despite trying to fend off the attacker, Bhadana was overpowered and the perpetrator fled with the cash‑filled bag.

Injured Victim Found on the Road

Passersby spotted the bleeding vendor collapsed on the road and alerted the authorities. Police arrived promptly, arranged for Bhadana’s transport to the government hospital, and later recorded his detailed account of the incident.

The victim’s testimony helped investigators sketch the sequence of events and narrow down the suspect’s identity.

Accused Arrested the Same Night

New Colony police launched an immediate search based on the information supplied by Bhadana. Within hours, they detained Harpreet Singh, also known as Bobby, a resident of Krishna Colony.

Detectives are now interrogating the arrested individual to uncover the motive behind the attack. Early findings point toward a possible personal rivalry, though the inquiry remains ongoing.
