New Delhi. In the early hours of Wednesday night, a 17‑year‑old boy was viciously attacked with knives in the 30 Block of Trilokpuri, Mayur Vihar, allegedly as retaliation for an old rivalry.
Police received an emergency call at approximately 9:30 pm reporting that a teenager had been stabbed. Officers from the Mayur Vihar police station rushed to the scene, administered first aid, and promptly transported the victim to LBS Hospital.
Given the severity of his injuries, doctors later transferred him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for specialized care. The young man is now reported to be in stable condition.
Background of the Dispute
Investigators uncovered that the victim and a fellow minor had been involved in a hostile encounter roughly fifteen days earlier. During that episode, the boy and his friends allegedly assaulted the other youth, igniting a lingering grudge.
Police believe the lingering animosity prompted the assailants to ambush the teenager later, using two knives that were later seized at the scene.
Police Action and Ongoing Search
Three juveniles have been taken into custody and are currently being questioned about their involvement. Simultaneously, specialized teams are conducting raids at suspected hideouts in an effort to locate a fourth minor believed to have participated in the stabbing.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to piece together the exact sequence of events and assign responsibility to each participant.
