He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s deep engagement with Uttarakhand, noting that the prime minister has visited the state 28 times since taking office. The central government, according to Dhami, has placed renewed emphasis on border‑area development, especially after the PM described the village of Mana as India’s “First Village.”

Tourism and Sustainable Growth Milestones

Under the PM’s guidance, Uttarakhand has climbed to the top slot in the NITI Aayog Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index. The state also enjoys national accolades for its tourism sector, positioning itself as a premier destination for film shoots, adventure sports and destination weddings.

Empowering the Youth

Aligning with the PM’s vision of a developed India by 2047, Dhami emphasized the pivotal role of young people. The state is expanding avenues for education, skill training, formal employment and entrepreneurship.

“I prefer to speak to the youth not as a chief minister but as a friend,” Dhami said, adding that their ideas recharge his own enthusiasm.

Transparent Recruitment Drive

To safeguard fairness in public‑service hiring, the government has introduced a strict anti‑cheating statute, bolstering confidence among deserving candidates. Over the past five years, roughly 35,000 young individuals have been inducted into government roles.

Land Recovery and Remote‑Area Outreach

Efforts to protect Uttarakhand’s natural character include reclaiming over 13,000 acres of state land from illegal encroachments. Dhami affirmed that development initiatives will continue to penetrate the most isolated regions, offering youths the chance to grow according to their talents.
